(a) The patent pending Tubing Saver Rotator, TSR, reduces rod pumping expenses by reducing tubing failures from wear and corrosion by tubing rotation, while more expensive automatic tubing rotators generally benefit tubing wear related failures only. Our tubing rotator is recommended for rod pumping wells that fail more often than once every 2.5 years with investment rate of returns normally ranging from 40% to 100%. Actual field tests showed 76% to 83% reduction in failure rates with tubing rotation and the use of this low cost oilfield tubing rotator.
(b) The Sidestream Flush Restrictor, SFR, is used to continuously inject oilfield chemicals into wells to minimize corrosion, scaling, and paraffin deposition and may be used in conjunction with our tubing rotator. The SFR allows lower side stream flush volumes to be achieved as compared to convention choke arrangements. In addition, the flush line has less chance of plugging off or freezing during the winter. Thus, the SFR allows less fluids to be recycled, saving electricity, or more oil to be pumped, while improving continuous chemical injection with less chance of the flush line being plugged up. The SFR is recommended for every well utilizing continuous chemical injection on pumping wells (rod pumped, progressive cavity pumps, and submersible pumps) with investment rate of returns generally over 100%.
